New on this incarnation is a footswitchable Midrange section, complete with a variable center frequency and boost/cut knobs. This allows you to focus the mids along with kicking them in anytime you need a little more "oomph" to cut through the mix. With the traditional Big Muff, chords could get a little mushy (which was part of the charm!), especially at high gain settings. The addition of an adjustable Attack control compensates for this, letting each note be heard. The noise gate keeps hum and buzz at bay while keeping your tone intact. Rounding out the new controls is a bass boost switch to thicken up the low end. No matter how you set your Muff, the Deluxe Big Muff Pi lets you shape your sound to your exact liking.
