Product Overview
The Anka Distortion by CKK is the fifth reincarnation dynamic and touch sensitive distortion pedal.
The pedal has the expected volume, gain and tone knobs. The gain control on this pedal has an incredible wide range, producing everything from low to medium gain through to high gain with a tight controlled low end through to modded high gain vintage tones. The volume and tone do exactly what you would expect and do it well. There is plenty on tap from
the volume control to push the front of your amp if that's what you require or just find unity gain and set and forget. The tone is wide ranging and works in conjunction with the gain structure of the pedal to provide you with all the control you need to sculpt and tailor your tone. Two mini toggle switches add extra variation and tonal possibilities.
The Style toggle switch (marked with a C) allows you to select alternative clipping circuits giving you access to a wide range of distortion tones.
The P.B. toggle switch (marked with a B) gives you a mid boost. This boost comes after the gain stages and really pushes your tone to cut through with an added warmth sometimes not associated with a mid-boost circuit. The reason for this is that the boost circuit is tuned to also effect the low and high frequencies as well as providing that all important mid-boost that pushes you through a heavy mix.
