a stunning signature model that blends classic Martin tone and style with a selection of appointments chosen by Slowhand himself. A beautiful addition to the Martin Marquis Collection, the Martin 000-28EC is modeled after
the guitar that Clapton played during his legendary MTV unplugged performance. Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top, scalloped "X" bracing, and gorgeous solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the 000-28EC offers rich, full voice. With a nice '000' punch and beautiful tone, the 000-28EC makes the perfect addition to any flatpicker or acoustic blues player's collection. If you're a fan of the "V" neck, you'll love the neck on this one. The 24.9"-scale genuine mahogany neck is shaped into Clapton's preferred modified V profile that'll fit your fretting hand beautifully. The smooth-playing ebony 'board houses 20 frets and showcases classic Diamond & Square long pattern inlays and Clapton's signature. The neck also boasts a traditional-style solid diamond square taper headstock featuring a striking solid East Indian rosewood headplate with a Script Old Style Martin logo. The body and neck both come dressed in a smooth gloss finish while the top is adorned with vintage toner to add to the 000-28EC's old-school vibe. A set of nickel open-gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs, an ebony bridge with a compensated bone saddle, and a bone nut offer superior performance and tone. Adding to the vintage appeal, the 000-28EC flaunts classic Martin appointments including a fine herringbone top inlay and rosette, grained ivoroid binding, Zig-Zag back purfling, and a faux tortoise pickguard.
