The Squier Jim Root Telecaster is a hardcore metal-fest for fans of Stone Sour/Slipknot guitarist Jim Root. The black and white stark contrast is about as metal as it gets, yet the telecaster body provides fluidity that moves metal forward from the novelty pointy edges of the '80s. This guitar really makes a big impact immediately, sonically as well as visually.
The tone of the Squier Jim Root Telecaster is underpinned by the shred-friendly dual humbuckers, with their aggressive black coverings, which produce a high-ouput heavy sound that will add sustain and growl to your sound, and when paired with an equally thrashing amp will offer tones from aggresive blues to heavy thrash and beyond.
The mahogany body on the Squier Jim Root Tele gives a nice, light playing experience and increases the thickness of the tone. The modern C-shaped neck is designed to be both comfortable and fast. As far as the controls go there is a pickup switch and volume knob, keeping your tone heavy and pure, letting your amp or pedals do the shaping. The string-through body bridge is a classic telecaster feature and gives excellent sustain as well as getting the best out of the wood.
