The EP1-S00CE is a 650 mm full scale guitar with a solid Canadian sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides and also features a ultra-thin, open-pore satin finish. Its body shape is a variation of a 1930 small body guitar combining the visual appearance of a Parlor with the stronger projection of the slightly larger Folk body. The bracing design of “00” model was modified to accommodate a full 650mm scale. The Eastern Mahogany neck has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. All the Essential Pro steel string acoustics are equipped with NVI compensated nuts and saddles. They play in tune and produce a sound outperforming guitars many times their price. A bolt-on neck joint not only guarantees consistent neck angles and sustain across the entire production line, but also allow neck resets should that become necessary after years of usage.
The Hohner Essential Series leaves out any unnecessary ornament. We even decided against a pick-guard because we did not want anything to obstruct the sound! As a result, the Essential Pro guitars are exceptionally resonant. Even the small Parlor guitar sounds huge!
To ease your performance on stage we decided to let this model come with a (non-historical) cutaway and a Fishman ISYS+ preamp with built-in EQ and tuner. Fishman pickup and preamp systems are commonly known for their excellent sounding and lasting devices.     |
